While this patch had a good amount of content in it, not much was done for us Rets. What was done was a pretty significant change. I am coming more nad more to the conclusion that we will truly be playing a different class come Cataclysm. Everything you thought you knew about Rets needs to be tossed out the window. Come into Cataclysm eager to learn, because I think we might have some growing pains to battle through!
Here are our changes:
- Divine Purpose now has a 20% chance to generate holy power, down from 40%.
- Eternal Glory is now a Tier 1 Protection talent.
- Templar’s Verdict no longer costs mana.
- Guardian’s Favor is now a Tier 2 Retribution talent.
Obviously, this significant change comes with the Divine Purpose Holy Power regeneration reduction. At level 85, this may not be as bad as I fear, but at level 80, the DPS priority system is already getting intricate with the Templar’s Verdict conflict of 2HP or 3HP. Making HP regeneration less frequent means less Templar’s Verdicts. This may make the 2HP TV even more attractive, since waiting around for a 3rd mathematically will take longer now.
I am confident we will see some significant improvements in one big push before Cataclysm goes live. Only time will tell.
Hopefully.
It might also mean more intricate ways of generating Holy Power/doing damage while not relying on Holy Power may come our way, which very needed considering what’s being lost come 4.0.1.
Divine Purpose now has a 20% chance to generate holy power, down from 40%.
Is a tooltip fix for the rank 1 (Rank 2 is still 40%)
