Best Retribution Paladin Rings – Pre-Raid

Retribution Paladin Rings is current for Patch 4.0.6.  This is a list of the best Retribution Paladin rings, or finger slot items, available pre-raiding.  I am fairly comfortable with the priorities here, rings seem to be fairly in order.

This is a best in slot list (BiS) for rings for Ret Paladins, and I am fairly sure this won’t change much, at least until we see a Mastery change that raises the value of stacking Mastery on gear.

NOTE: An wobbly list at the moment, with the haziness of secondary stats versus strength still not quite concrete.  The top 7 are pretty much set in stone, but after that it gets a little more unclear.  However, it’s pretty easy to sort through if you determine your own priorities, cap stats as needed, then move on down to normal DPS stat priorities.

    I am curious why Felsen’s Ring of Resolve did not make the list?
    Would Red Rock band still be a better choice?

    Since both of those rings have Dodge, they didn’t make the list. Some of these rings are tank rings (Like Red Rock), but becasue both secondary stats are useful for DPS, that’s why they made the list. Hope this clears up the omissions!

    just got Ring of Rivalry in BoT, just wondered why it didnt make the list with the expertise it has?

    No Heroic Ring of Rivalry? Also any idea why MaxDPS would be ranking Gorsik’s Band of Shattering so high when all it has is standard Strength and then Crit (which is okay, I guess) and Haste (which is devalued)?

    I’m thinkin’ that after obtaining the License to Slay trinket, that Ring of the Darkest Day would be a good substitute for 3rd place Nova Band as it provides the mastery where hit was once needed. That is, until the 359 rings are both obtained.
