Retribution Paladin Bracers Pre-Raiding is current for Patch 4.0.6. This is a list of the best Retribution Paladin bracers, or wrist slot items, available pre-raiding. I am still working on a few calculations that may shift some of the top two or three pieces, but I am comfortable enough with my current list until I can hack away on some spreadsheets.
This is a best in slot list (BiS) for bracers gear for Ret Paladins, and I am fairly sure this won’t change much, at least until we see a Mastery change that raises the value of stacking Mastery on gear.

Why do none of your BiS posts have faction rep reward purples in them? This I would still consider “pre raid” and easy rewards since they just come from grinding 🙂 Just a tip, thanks a lot!

@ Royals, I thought I had been including rep rewards for these, I will check again for bracers…
OKay, checked bracers and I saw defense bracers. Yes, they could be used for DPS, but I am trying not to list tank items. To keep things simple, I try to list DPS specific items. While some tank pieces can be more DPS in certain situations, I really try not to implement them.
I’m not sure why or how you are getting the cooled bracers slightly better than alpha bracers. The latest stat weights posted on EJ show the alpha bracers being more dps on both scales. The bottom line is that hit is greater than expertise, and the crit doesn’t make up for it, especially when you factor in a 40str gem in the gem slot of the alpha bracers. An item with a gem slot is better than an item without one 9/10 times.

couldnt vicious gladiator’s armplates of alacrity also be put into that list considering hoe easy they are to get all you need to do is win five rated battlegrounds or arenas
The Vicious Gladiators Armplates are better than anythig u have on the list. +49 stam and +53 Str. I’m already hit and exp capped so I reforged the haste into crit and because the Vicious shoulders are better than anythig too, i have those epuipped as well giving an extra +70 str. I am doing about 11k in heroics.
With Patch 4.1 I think Deathcharged Wristguards from Bloodlord Mandokir in Zul’Gurub would now be 2nd on the list. I believe they’d still fall just below the Heroic Alpha Bracers because of the Alpha Bracers’ gem slot which provides a net gain of +8 Strength with a Bold Inferno Ruby. The Wristguards would of course come in handy for other stats (saving some reforging) as well as the favored iLevel.
