Ret Paladin – World of Warcraft

10,000g in 7 Days – Monday

Today has just been nuts.  I have made much more gold than I anticipated, and I still have a bunch of stuff sitting in the AH.  As a refresher, it is Monday, Day 1 of my 10,000g in one week experiment.  So far, I’m off to a very good start.

  • As a recap,  I started off with 45,166g.
  • As of 1144pm on Monday night, I have 47,435g.
  • That’s a daily gain of 2,269g.

10000g-Monday

Here is what I have done today:

Zul’Gurub

0001 – 0130

Went to ZG to farm for the tiger mount and the Razzashi Hatchling pet.  No luck on either, but I did get a stack of Thorium ore and lots of bijous and coins.  Here is what I cam away with, all of which are sold/being sold on the AH:

  • Pristine Black Diamond
  • Bijous
  • Coins
  • Runecloth
  • 11 green items DE’d
  • Essence of Undeath
  • Thorium Ore
  • Dense Stone
  • Huge Emerald
  • Arcane Crystal

Auction House Scan

0900

  • Several smaller items bought for small profits
  • One The Butcher bought for 50g, later resold for 100g

Argent Tournament Daily Quests, KotEB Daily QUests, Mining Icecrown

0910-1030

Did all 9 AT and all 6 KoEB daily quests.  Grouped up for threat and citadel to make them go faster.  Took a little longer than usual because I was pathing the borders of the zone, careful not to miss any ore nodes.  When I finished my dailies, I just started farming via mining until my daughter woke up from her morning nap.  Came away with my daily loot as well as the following for AH selling:

  • Saronite Ore
  • Titanium Ore
  • Eternal Earth
  • Eternal Shadow
  • Eternal Air
  • Eternal Water
  • Frostweave Cloth
  • 5 greens DE’d for mats

ZG, Mining Icecrown, Grinding Icecrown Cultists

1300-1430

Came back on when my daughter went down for her second nap.  Started with a quick farm of the ZG raptor area again for the Razzashi Hatchling…no luck.   Also killed all the undead trolls in the NW corner of the zone.  Came away with a ton more bijous and coins.  All my bijous sold today within an hour of posting.

Went to Icecrown and mined for about an hour, then finished up with grinding cultists.  I did swing into Shalazaar Basin for one quick circuit.  At this point I had almost 30 Titanium Ore, and I had farmed over 25 stacks of Saronite (including the previous run earlier in the day).

What I was able to sell on the AH from this time frame:

  • Saronite Ore
  • Titanium Ore
  • Eternal Earth
  • Eternal Shadow
  • Eternal Fire
  • Eternal Water
  • Eternal Air
  • Frostweave Cloth
  • 2 greens DE’d mats
  • Bijous
  • Coins
  • Runecloth
  • Thorium Ore
  • Bloodvine
  • Dense Stone
  • Arcane Crystal
  • Aquamarine

Mining Un’Goro Crater, Mining Burning Steppes

2115-2330

Peak server population time, so I went to old world content to grind out Thorium and Mithril.  I wan having competition in Un’Goro from, of all things, level 50-52 Horde players.  They were all over the damned place!  I think I counted 5 different ones mining.  After one complete circuit, I hearthed back to Stormwind and tried my luck at Burning Steppes, which was excellent.  No one else there.  Stayed the entire time in Burning Steppes

Stuff I was able to sell:

  • Thorium Ore
  • Mithril Ore
  • Truesilver Ore
  • Gold Ore
  • Dense Stone
  • Solid Stone
  • Huge Emerald
  • Large Opal
  • Blue Sapphire
  • Arcane Crystal
  • Star Ruby
  • Aquamarine
  • Citrine
  • Runecloth
  • Un’Goro Soil
  • 4 green items DE’d mats
