Ret Paladin Cataclysm Beta – Build 13066
New Beta build, and a couple very significant changes. Our two core attacks for Cataclysm, Crusader Strike and Templar’s Verdict, each got a change. One was for the better, and one was for the worse. It does, however, clear up some discrepancies in terms of our DPS rotations and usage of Holy Power.
Here are the changed relevant to Retribution Paladins in the most current build:
- Crusader Strikenow costs 10% of base mana, up from 5% of base mana.
- Templar’s Verdict now deals 90% weapon damage when used with 2 Holy Power, down from 110%.
The Crusader Strike mana change is actually not a bad one. Our mana supply seems to be endless in terms of DPS rotations and heavy use of Holy Power for abilities. Upping the mana cost to 10% adds an awareness factor, albeit a very minuscule one.
The Templar’s Verdict change pretty much squashes the 2 Holy Power Templar’s Verdict is greater than 3 Holy Power Templar’s Verdict argument. It would seem the best option, once again, is the 3 HP Templar’s Verdict.
Also, from the Protection Tree, we have this change, that most likely will affect us, since it is a talent we will more than likely be taking in our Retribution builds:
- Seals of the Pure is now a 2 Ranks talent, down from 3 Ranks. Seals of the Pure- Increases the damage done by your Seal of Righteousness, Seal of Truth and Seal of Justice by 6/12%. (Down from 5/10/15%)
Mana More Mana!!!!!!!
The decrease isnt going to be a problem from the beta and so forth our dps will sky rocket and we will rock!
Can you post a updated talent spec. I don’t know if it’s just me or what, but the one in your other post doesn’t load for me. Maybe due to spell changes and what not?
Hey Everyone the patch is confirmed October 5th mastery and stats will change onn all gear wiether you are wearing it or it drops and events such as the Scourge Invasion before WOTLK will also take place with achievements and once in a lifetime gear weapons and much more LETS KILL IT TUSEDAY!!!!!!!
Blizzard never “confirmed” it officially. There was a link for the trial version download (or maybe the full download) that said October 5th, but they took it away today. There was no official announcement made by blizzard on it so there are no promises =[
Tusday we will see i also heard that Cata is coming dec 7 as well we dont know but the patch is coming Tuseday
