Ret Paladin – Solo Magister’s Terrace

Retribution Paladins soloing Magister’s Terrace.  Why?  Gold?  You bet!  Gear? Probably not.  Fun items?  Absolutely. Achievements?  Only if you haven’t gotten them yet.  Reputation?  For me, oh yeah.  Magister’s Terrace is one of the harder Burning Crusade dungeons to solo as a Ret Paladin.  Wait, did I say hard…hah!
The normal mode is very easy. The heroic 5-man of Magister’s Terrace can prove a bit tricky, but it is very, very easy to solo as a Ret Paladin once you go through it a time or two.
I will cover 3 things …

Ret Paladins – Best Weapons

The best weapons for Ret Paladins vary depending on gear and combat situations.  There is some varying degree of argument regarding Bryntroll and other weapons, but for the most part, this vanilla list can help you get an idea of what is available to Retribution Paladins in ICC.
This list comes from Elitist Jerks, the orignal thread can be found [HERE].  Current for Patch 3.3.2.

[Shadowmourne]
[Oathbinder, Charge of the Ranger-General]
[Glorenzelg, High-Blade of the Silver Hand]
[Bryntroll, the Bone Arbiter]
[Bloodfall]
[Warmace of Menethil]
[Cryptmaker]
[Oathbinder, Charge of the Ranger-General]
[Shadow's Edge]
[Glorenzelg, High-Blade of the Silver Hand]
[Bryntroll, the Bone …

Ret Paladin Haste vs Armor Pen

Haste vs Armor Penetration.  Which stat is better for Ret Paladins?  There is a alot of argument and confusion over which stat seems to be better for a Ret Pally.  You can make very solid cases either way, but nothing is actually set in stone.  There ahave even been some conflicting comments here on my site as well.
After a couple weeks of research, playing around with Rawr, checking the EJ, WoW, and retpaladin.com forums, it would appear the general concensus is that Haste is still better than Armor Pen, even …

Best Level 19 PvP Class

What’s the best level 19 PvP class in World of Warcraft?  Based on much PvP twinkage, I think I have a pretty solid list compiled.  First, we are going to separate the lists into 2 different categories: DPS and Healing.
My most recent project was to level another Paladin up to level 39 through battlegrounds.  The 10-19 bracket is probably the most fun for me, because everyone is playing with very basic talents and abilities.  Teamwork is essential, and the playing field is more or less even…so long as you work …

Ret Paladins and Tiny Abomination in a Jar

The best trinket for Ret Paladins at the moment is [Tiny Abomination in a Jar].  The reason being is that motes stack up very quickly for Retribution Paladins.  We can proc up to 4 motes in one swing with our various attacks and abilities.  On top of that, the bonus 50% damage from 8 motes procs our seals as well.
Tiny Abomination in a Jar (TAiaJ) is so powerful for us, that the heroic and normal versions are numbers 1 and 2 on our best trinkets list.  If you are lucky …

Solo Deadmines at Level 26 [Paladin]

Deadmines can be soloed at level 26 by a Retribution Paladin.  Last night, server lag was at an all time high.  The original plan was to continue our ICC 10 run, but multiple avenues of lag diverted us from our main goal.  We ended up running the weekly raid quest for our 5 Emblems of Frost, and called it a night.
The night was still young however, so I decided to keep on playing…if I could.  Loading screens when logging into instances and onto other characters were taking 3 minutes or …

Molten Core and Blackwing Lair

Several nights ago, four of my guildmates and I decided to venture into Molten Core for some Hydroxian Waterlord reputation.  After blasting through MC, we decided to try our luck at Blackwing Lair.  Back in vanilla WoW, 5-manning those 40-man raids seemed like a dream, but now, it’s a cake walk.  In fact, much of MC, and certain BWL bosses are soloable.
Molten Core was refreshing, believe it or not, because the pace was so fast.  Remember back in the day when it took 2 to 4 hours to clear the …

Apple iPad – WoW Playable on iPad?

The Apple iPad release has WoW players wondering if they will be able to play World of Warcraft on the new Apple gadget. Currently, the iPad will not be able to run WoW, though that could change in the future. With the new 1 GHz Apple A4 chip, it has the ability to handle 3D games with ease, but again, being a memory hog at times, there is no known information leading to the ability to run WoW.  WoW Armory and all other iPhone apps should run just fine on …

Paladin PvP Twink – Level 19 Gear and Guide

Making a Paladin PvP twink is my new project. This guide will focus on gear, talents, enchants, and anything else essential for making an elite level 19 Paladin twink.  Warsong Gulch is the only available battleground for level 19 twinks, so learning the layout of the battleground is also very important.
My newest Paladin is a Dwarf, whome I am fondly naming Khode.  I chose a Dwarf because a) I don’t have a Dwarf Paladin, and b) Stoneform.  Humans have a movement freeing passive talent, btu stoneform will suffice just as well.  …

Intro to Leveling a Dwarf Paladin

Leveling a Dwarf Paladin

Levels 1-10
Leveling a Dwarf Paladin has become much easier since the relase of Patch 3.3.  As one of 3 Alliance races that can become a Paladin, the Dwarf has unique passive talents that can help in the leveling process.  Dwarf Paladins cannot officially become a Ret Paladin until level 10, when access to the talent tree is opened.
My goal for this Paladin is to give a guide to beginning Dwarf Paladin leveling, which will transition into a Paladin PvP twink guide.
The Beginning
A Dwarf Paladin starts out in …
